Yaron Almagor, MD - Jesselson Heart Center, Shaare Zedek Jerusalem

Dr. Yaron Almagor is the Director of Cardiac Catheterization and Interventional Cardiology Laboratories at Jesselson Heart Center, Shaare Zedek Medical Center; Jerusalem, Israel.
Dr. Almagor is a leading cardiologist in Israel, and is well known and appreciated in the international cardiology community. Dr Almagor received his M.D. from the Milan University School of Medicine in Italy. He has been an Associate and Co-Director at the Columbus Heart Center in Milan, Italy. He holds a clinical fellowship in interventional cardiology at Ichilov Hospital in Israel and at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
 

Antonio Colombo, MD - EMO Centro Cuore Columbus, Milan

Dr Antonio Colombo is a Clinical Professor of Medicine from New York University. He is the director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at both the Columbus Hospital and the San Raffaele Hospital in Milan, Italy. Additionally, he is Director of Investigational Angioplasty at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York. Dr Colombo is a key member of the European and international cardiology community. He has contributed extensively to the scientific literature, is an active participant at international conferences, and is on the Editorial Boards of leading cardiology journals, such as Circulation. Dr Colombo received his M.D. from the University of Milan School of Medicine. He has trained in leading medical centers in both the United States and Europe.  

Victor Guetta, MD – Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer

Dr. Victor Guetta is the Head of Catheterization Services at the Haim Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, Israel. Dr Guetta has been a member of the committees of several international studies, and is the study coordinator for GUSTO IV. Dr. Guetta received his M.D. from Ben Gurion University in the Negev, Beer-Sheva, Israel. He holds a research fellowship at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, and a clinical fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
 

Barry T. Katzen, MD – Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute

Dr. Barry Katzen is a Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of Miami School of Medicine. He is the founder and Medical Director of the Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, a leading US center for treatment of peripheral and coronary vascular disease. Throughout his career, Dr Katzen has been a leader in the field of Interventional Radiology. He has founded and edited medical journals, and has served as president of the Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr Katzen received his M.D. from the University of Miami School of Medicine. He has trained in key US and European medical centers. 

 

Ran Koronowski, MD, FESC, FACC - 1) The Chairman of the Israeli Working Group on Interventional Cardiology, 2) Professor of Cardiology in the "Sackler" Faculty of Medicine, Tel Aviv University, 3) Director of Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories at Rabin Medical Center in Petach-Tikva, the largest interventional cardiology institute in Israel   

His professional experience includes a fellowship and working at Washington Hospital Center, Washington DC in USA in 1996-2000. Prof. Kornowski’s reputation is derived from multiple basic and clinical experimental studies in the fields of coronary interventions, acute coronary syndromes, coronary imaging, cardiac pharmacology, myocardial stem cell transplantation and gene therapy.  He is an active member of various medical societies worldwide and has published numerous peer-review papers and books and lectured widely on the subjects of cardiovascular medicine and cardiac catheterizations.  

 

Martin B. Leon, MD - Cardiovascular Research Foundation & New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Columbia University Medical Center, New York

Dr Martin B. Leon is a Clinical Professor of Medicine from Georgetown University. He is the Director and CEO of the Cardiovascular Research Foundation in New York, a foundation that works closely with the FDA to investigate novel ideas and technologies. He is also a Senior Attending Physician at the Lennox Hill Hospital in New York. Dr Leon is a world leader in the field of interventional vascular procedures, and has influenced the development of devices and therapies. Dr Leon directs the renowned annual TCT conference, as well as other conferences around the world. Dr Leon received his M.D. from Yale University, and has held positions at the National Institutes of Health’s National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, such as clinical associate, senior investigator and co-director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. 

 

Chaim Lotan, M.D., F.A.C.C., F.E.S.C.

Prof. Lotan has served as Director of Interventional Cardiology at Hadassah, and has been Director of the Hadassah Heart Institute since September 2000. He is Professor of Medicine in Cardiology at The Hebrew University, and in 2004 he established the Hadassah Cardiovascular Research Center. Prof. Lotan founded the Israeli Working Group for Interventional Cardiology in Israel and served as its Secretary General for 4 years. He is the chairman of the Committee for Certification & Licensing of Coronary Stents in the Israel Ministry of health. He has, in addition, participated in various research projects and initiated and directed many study protocols, and continues to do so; he is a consultant to several start-up companies. He is Course Co-Director of the international scientific congress “Innovations in Cardiovascular Interventions” held in Israel. 

 

Haim D. Danenberg, MD – Hadassah Hebrew University Medical Center, Jerusalem, Israel

Prof. Danenberg is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is the head of interventional cardiology at Hadassah Medical Center and serves as the Secretary of the Israeli Workgroup for Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Danenberg received his M.D. from Hebrew University and had a post-doctoral fellowship at the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and technology division. Prof. Danenberg research interests are in the fields of vascular biology and the association of inflammation with cardiovascular injury and repair.
